PT Handal Indonesia Motor Starts Assembling NETA Cars On May 2024
The electric car market in Indonesia is currently heating up with the emergence of many new brands entering the electric car industry in the country. One of them is NETA, which recently introduced itself at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) 2023. In 2023, NETA Indonesia also signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Handal Indonesia Motor, one of the leading car assembly plants in Indonesia, to assemble NETA cars in Indonesia in 2024.

Chery Tiggo 5X Assembly at PT Handal Indonesia Motor
At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, Chery Indonesia officially introduced the most affordable unit among the Chery lineup, the Chery Tiggo 5X, a compact SUV with a 1,500 cc engine. The Chery Tiggo 5X was officially introduced in Indonesia with prices starting from Rp 269 million for the Chery Tiggo 5X Classic variant to Rp 299 million for the Chery Tiggo 5X Champion. Despite the competitive pricing, the Chery Tiggo 5X still offers various features that may not be available in its competitors.

Chery Unveiled The Omoda E5
In December 2023, Chery Indonesia officially assembled the Chery Omoda E5 in Indonesia through CKD at the PT Handal Indonesia Motor factory. The Chery Omoda E5 is the first Chery electric car in Indonesia, based on the successful platform of the Chery Omoda 5 in the Indonesian market. After approximately 3 months, Chery officially launched the Chery Omoda E5 at a very competitive price, staying below Rp 500 million. The official selling price of the Chery Omoda E5 is Rp 498.8 million On The Road DKI Jakarta. This price includes the V2L Charger, AC Charger 7kW, and portable charger.
